On Monday everyone rotated through the programs; in crafts we made Magic Jars, in nature we learned about the different leaves and helped the 3 Little Pigs re-build their houses, in CV we learnt about morals, and at the pool we played princesses and knights.
Tuesday we spent the morning rotating through the programs and in the afternoon we participated in Choose Your Own Adventure (CYOA). Our CYOA choices included making cookies (without a recipe!), making washer necklaces, fort building and marble pool games. The rainstorm put the brakes on the girls heading to outtrip, but we still enjoyed our games, CV session and dinner at camp and then headed to outtrip to set up the tents, and enjoy s’mores and campfire! The girls enjoyed their sleep at outtrip and were back in the morning in time for breakfast! While the girls were away the boys played capture the flag back at camp.
Wednesday morning we rotated through the last few of our programs, in crafts making kaleidoscopes, in nature we went on a nature hike and learned about the different leaves in the forest, in CV we learned about praising others and self confidence, and we also played games in the pool. Wednesday afternoon the weather was nice and sunny and we enjoyed our CYOA options, which were: building pirate ships at the pool, friendship bracelet making, archery with Robin Hood, and storytelling at the bench. The boys were able to head to outtrip and enjoy their night filled with lots of sports, games, a CV session, campfire songs and s’mores! While the boys were out enjoying their night, the girls were back at camp enjoying their spa night filled with clay masks and dance parties.
Thursday was one of our most busy but most fun days! Thursday meant Thrilling Thursday! We spent the morning completing quests to help the characters of different stories, we helped Humpty Dumpty’s knight practice their egg carrying in our egg relay, we unfroze items that Elsa had accidently frozen, we helped to shoot the poison apples with our archery bows and arrows to save Snow White, we helped the leak in Peter Pan’s ship at the pool, we found dragon eggs buried in the sand, and we also slid down the slip and slide hill after Jill went tumbling down! We had a busy morning and the afternoon kept the fun going! We all went to free swim in the pool, and everyone went on a creek stomp. We stomped through the creek and stopped at the clay wall, making designs with the clay on our faces! Our banquet dinner was themed Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, and we enjoyed our special last dinner on the driveway and enjoyed the talent show on the pavilion.
On Friday morning we enjoyed our last morning activities, packed up and participated in Friday favourites! The choices were Archery, Gaga Ball, and Low Ropes. We are currently finishing up our all-camp game of Risk: Expanding Your Kingdoms and then we will be having lunch! After lunch we have cabin connections, tuck and then off to Retro Rewind! We will see our adults soon!
