I’m a lifeguard at camp this year! Our first week of the summer has gotten off to a great start. The campers are having tons of fun! We had a delicious dinner of meatballs, cheesy potatoes and corn; we have our great kitchen staff to thank for that! Then our campers headed back to their cabins for some get to know you games! Last night, for All Camp Game all of the space creatures escaped their planets and we needed the campers help to catch them again! Following this we sang songs around the campfire, watched some skits and then headed to Vespers to wind down for the night.
We have some great weather today at Kee-Mo-Kee. Today the campers have sessions from breakfast until dinner, with a bit of a break after lunch for FOB - a time to relax and TUCK – Totally unnecessary candy for kids. In CV with Rachel Francis we made compliment bracelets and played compliment dodge ball. In Nature with Mars, we went to the creek to analyze rocks and learn more about our planet, the Earth. With Ducky, in crafts we made moon rocks. Aqua and I, in pool played Star Search and Asteroid ball, which is a lot like water polo.
Earlier today, Cabin 3 challenged the whole camp to a no utensils dessert, butterscotch pudding. Today, after Cabin Connections, for all camp game we are playing Build a Spaceship. All of the parts of each cabins spaceship have been scattered around the camp, so first the campers, with the help of their counsellors have to find all of the materials and then they get to build their spaceship.
