Do you have experience with finance, strategic planning, board governance, marketing, property management, human resources, fund development, event planning or are just passionate about camp?
Can you commit to 2-3 hours every month for board meetings and/or committee work?
If you answered yes to these questions, then consider joining the Camp Kee-Mo-Kee Board of Directors or serving on one of our committees. Camp Kee-Mo-Kee prides itself on offering an enriching camping experience and relies on the passionate and committed visionaries on our Board and its committees to shape the future direction of the camp. We would like to talk to you about the impact you can make in the lives of children and youth today!
BOARD OF DIRECTORS:
Camp Kee-Mo-Kee has a 7-9 member Board of Directors that usually meets on the second Tuesday of the month, 7-8 times per year. Board meetings are mostly held virtually. In person meetings, when scheduled are held in the City of London or at the camp (during staff training at the beginning of July and in September). No meetings are held in August.
The Board of Directors and its committees provide governance and direction for the Executive Director to operationalize.
Responsible to: Corporation Membership
General Responsibilities: To govern the camp responsibly.
Risk Assessment: Board members are required to provide a satisfactory Police Record Check and complete AODA training.
Limits & Boundaries: Board member terms are for 3 years, beginning at the Annual Meeting which usually happens in March. Executive Committee positions (Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Treasurer) are voted on annually by the Board of Directors at the first Board meeting directly after the Annual Meeting.
COMMITTEES:
Committees are established as needed. You do not have to be on the Board of Directors to serve on a committee. Committee work requires 1-2 hours per month. Current committees include:
Finance Committee
Property Committee
Personnel Committee
QUALIFICATIONS FOR BOARD OR COMMITTEE MEMBERS:
Skills Preferred: Computer proficiency, advanced communication skills. excellent organizational skills and attention to detail., self-motivator with ability to meet monthly timelines.

Camp Kee-Mo-Kee maintains, operates and conducts a campsite within the Antler River Watershed Regional Council of the United Church of Canada. Our organization welcomes all people regardless of religious affiliation.
