Carter Mahoney (Gnome) (he/him) Executive Director
Hi! I’m Carter, and I absolutely love camp! I’m deeply passionate about creating meaningful experiences for youth and supporting their personal growth. My journey in youth development has been shaped by over two decades of experiences at camps. I love creating spaces where young people can feel safe, included, and empowered.
Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to work with amazing teams and communities across Canada to bring impactful programs to life. I work alongside staff to design impactful programming, nurture camper resilience, and build collaborative teams that empower everyone involved. I understand the unique magic of camp—the friendships, the personal growth, and the sense of belonging—and I’ve dedicated myself to making every moment count for both campers and staff.
Beyond camp, I’m all about learning, connecting, and exploring. Be it adventuring in forests, reading new books, or playing ultimate frisbee, I’m always excited to be part of something bigger than myself. Helping young people feel seen, valued, and inspired is what I love most, and I’m honored to be part of that journey at Camp Kee-Mo-Kee!
Trista Osborn (DOE) (she/her), Director of Outdoor Education
Hello, I’m Trista, the Director of Outdoor Education at Camp Kee-Mo-Kee. Over the past months, I’ve been dedicated to creating meaningful connections between children and nature through hands-on educational programs and outdoor adventures. Camp is a place where individuals grow, explore and discover their unique abilities, and I’m thrilled to be part of that journey.
With a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Leadership and a background in child and youth recreation, I bring a blend of expertise and enthusiasm to our Outdoor Education program. My focus is on ensuring every experience is both educational and fun, helping campers and students make memories that last a lifetime.
When I’m not at camp, you’ll likely find me hiking, crafting, or enjoying some delicious ice cream. My favorite spot at camp is the creek, as there is nothing quite like it! You will have to come to camp to experience it. I’m excited for the 2025 season and look forward to creating more opportunities for enjoyment at Camp Kee-Mo-Kee.
